The Purpose
The owners wanted a proper path across the front lawn to replace a worn track in the grass. It had to look good, stay level for years and fit in with the lawn and the tree beside it.
The Challenge
The path runs through the lawn and close to a mature tree, so we had to dig carefully around the roots and keep the grass on both sides in good shape.
How we did it
The Steps We Took to Get It Right
- Excavation & Base
Dug out the path and laid a compacted gravel base so the pavers do not sink or shift.
- Two-Tone Design
Red pavers in the centre with a charcoal border for a clean, finished look.
- Edge Restraints
Installed edging along both sides so the pavers stay tight over time.
- Polymeric Sand
Locked the joints with polymeric sand to keep out weeds and ants.
